Carmel Zevulun Regional High School

Location: Kibbutz Yagur
Client: Zevulun Regional Council
Completed: 2005
Description: A 30 classroom middle and high school, 7th to 12th grade, divided into three separate "houses" of two consecutive grade levels each in accordance with a unique educational concept.
The school includes 6 integrated classrooms for hearing impaired students, and a 350-seat auditorium for school and community use.
The 18 art workshops and science labs are centered in a multipurpose building with an atrium at its center.  The administration building also houses a library, special education resource rooms, and a spacious and naturally lighted entrance lobby serving school events and student art exhibitions.
The buildings, set against the natural landscape of Mount Carmel, are surrounded by spacious gardened landscaping and are arrayed around a large park-like square that forms a natural gathering area.
